AbbVie reported fiscal year 2020 executive compensation information on March 22, 2021.
In 2020, five AbbVie executives received on average a compensation package of $17M, a 22% increase compared to previous year.
Richard A. Gonzalez, Chief Executive Officer, received $24M in total, which increased by 11% compared to 2019. 49% of Gonzalez's compensation, or $12M, was in stock awards. Gonzalez also received $2.2M of change in pension value and nonqualified deferred compensation earnings, $4.9M in non-equity incentive plan, $2.8M in option awards, $1.7M in salary, as well as $760K in other compensation.
