Alleghany reported fiscal year 2007 executive compensation information on March 14, 2008.
In 2007, five Alleghany executives received on average a compensation package of $3.5M, a 2% decrease compared to previous year.
Weston M. Hicks, Chief Executive Officer, received $8.9M in total, which decreased by 7% compared to 2006. 56% of Hicks' compensation, or $5M, was in stock awards. Hicks also received $1.2M of change in pension value and nonqualified deferred compensation earnings, $1.5M in non-equity incentive plan, $1M in salary, as well as $193K in other compensation.
Robert M. Hart, General Counsel, received a compensation package of $3M, which decreased by 4% compared to previous year. 33% of the compensation package, or $989K, was in stock awards.
James P. Slattery, Senior Vice President Insurance, earned $2.4M in 2007, a 7% increase compared to previous year.
Roger B. Gorham, Chief Financial Officer, received $2.3M in 2007, which increases by 17% compared to 2006.
Jerry G. Borrelli, Vice President and CAO, earned $869K in 2007, a 2% decrease compared to previous year.
