ALLETE reported fiscal year 2020 executive compensation information on March 24, 2021.
In 2020, six ALLETE executives received on average a compensation package of $1.5M, a 5% decrease compared to previous year.
Alan R. Hodnik, Chairman, received $3.3M in total, which decreased by 30% compared to 2019. 53% of Hodnik's compensation, or $1.8M, was of change in pension value and nonqualified deferred compensation earnings. Hodnik also received $416K in non-equity incentive plan, $555K in salary, $415K in stock awards, as well as $159K in other compensation.
Bethany M. Owen, Chief Executive Officer, received a compensation package of $2M, which increased by 97% compared to previous year. 30% of the compensation package, or $596K, was in stock awards.
Robert J. Adams, Chief Financial Officer, earned $1.7M in 2020, a 6% increase compared to previous year.
Nicole R. Johnson, Chief Administrative Officer, received $735K in 2020, which increases by 24% compared to 2019.
Steven W. Morris, Chief Accounting Officer, earned $687K in 2020, a 8% increase compared to previous year.
Margaret A. Thickens, Chief Legal Officer, received $636K in 2020.
