Apple reported fiscal year 2021 executive compensation information on January 6, 2022.
In 2021, five Apple executives received on average a compensation package of $41M, a 73% increase compared to previous year.
Tim Cook, Chief Executive Officer, received $99M in total, which increased by 569% compared to 2020. 83% of Cook's compensation, or $82M, was in stock awards. Cook also received $12M in non-equity incentive plan, $3M in salary, as well as $1.4M in other compensation.
For fiscal year 2021, the median employee pay was $68,254 at Apple. Therefore, the ratio of Tim Cook's pay to the median employee pay was 1,447 to one.
Deirdre O'Brien, Senior Vice President, Retail + People, received a compensation package of $27M, which increased by 3% compared to previous year. 81% of the compensation package, or $22M, was in stock awards.
Luca Maestri, Chief Financial Officer, earned $27M in 2021, a 3% increase compared to previous year.
Jeff Williams, Chief Operating Officer, received $27M in 2021, which increases by 3% compared to 2020.
Kate Adams, General Counsel, earned $27M in 2021, a 3% increase compared to previous year.
Apple's fiscal year ends on September 24.
