Arch Coal reported fiscal year 2018 executive compensation information on March 18, 2019.
In 2018, five Arch Coal executives received on average a compensation package of $4.7M, a 12% decrease compared to previous year.
John W. Eaves, Chief Executive Officer, received $9.2M in total, which decreased by 6% compared to 2017. 57% of Eaves' compensation, or $5.2M, was in stock awards. Eaves also received $20K of change in pension value and nonqualified deferred compensation earnings, $2.9M in non-equity incentive plan, $1M in salary, as well as $44K in other compensation.
Paul A. Lang, Chief Operating Officer, received a compensation package of $5.7M, which decreased by 7% compared to previous year. 57% of the compensation package, or $3.2M, was in stock awards.
John T. Drexler, Chief Financial Officer, earned $4.2M in 2018, a 8% decrease compared to previous year.
Robert G. Jones, General Counsel, received $2.5M in 2018, which decreases by 21% compared to 2017.
John A. Ziegler, Jr, Chief Commercial Officer, earned $2M in 2018.
