Arch Coal reported fiscal year 2021 executive compensation information on March 30, 2022.
In 2021, five Arch Coal executives received on average a compensation package of $5.2M, a 114% increase compared to previous year.
Paul A. Lang, Chief Executive Officer, received $9.3M in total, which increased by 153% compared to 2020. 68% of Lang's compensation, or $6.3M, was in stock awards. Lang also received $160K in bonus, $3.8K of change in pension value and nonqualified deferred compensation earnings, $1.9M in non-equity incentive plan, $898K in salary, as well as $16K in other compensation.

John W. Eaves, Chairman, earned $4.9M in 2021, a 16% increase compared to previous year.
Matthew C. Giljum, Chief Financial Officer, received $3.4M in 2021, which increases by 193% compared to 2020.
Rosemary L. Klein, General Counsel, earned $2.9M in 2021.
