AutoZone reported fiscal year 2022 executive compensation information on October 24, 2022.
In 2022, five AutoZone executives received on average a compensation package of $6.4M, a 11% increase compared to previous year.

William C. Rhodes III, Chief Executive Officer, received $14M in total, which decreased by 3% compared to 2021. 72% of Rhodes' compensation, or $10M, was in option awards. Rhodes also received $2.6M in non-equity incentive plan, $1.1M in salary, $90K in stock awards, as well as $296K in other compensation.
Thomas B. Newbern, Executive Vice President, International, IT & ALLDATA, received a compensation package of $4.9M, which increased by 12% compared to previous year. 67% of the compensation package, or $3.3M, was in option awards.
Jamere Jackson, Chief Financial Officer, earned $4.6M in 2022, a 29% decrease compared to previous year.
Preston B. Frazer, Executive Vice President, Store Operations, Commercial & Loss Prevention, received $4.1M in 2022.
Philip B. Daniele, Executive Vice President, Merchandising, Supply Chain & Marketing, earned $4M in 2022.
