Baker Hughes reported fiscal year 2009 executive compensation information on March 3, 2010.
In 2009, six executives at Baker Hughes received on average a compensation package of $3.3M, a 30% decrease compared to previous year.
Chad C. Deaton, Principal Executive Officer, received $8.8M in total, which decreased by 33% compared to 2008. 31% of Deaton's compensation, or $2.7M, was in option awards. Deaton also received $12K of change in pension value and nonqualified deferred compensation earnings, $2M in non-equity incentive plan, $1.2M in salary, $2.5M in stock awards, as well as $431K in other compensation.
Peter A. Ragauss, Principal Financial Officer, received a compensation package of $3.2M, which decreased by 29% compared to previous year. 27% of the compensation package, or $872K, was in option awards.
Martin S. Craighead, Chief Operating Officer, earned $3M in 2009, a 14% increase compared to previous year.
Alan R. Crain, General Counsel, received $2.3M in 2009, which decreases by 34% compared to 2008.
John A. O'Donnell, Vice President and President, Western Hemisphere Operations, earned $1.4M in 2009, a 16% decrease compared to previous year.
David H. Barr, Vice President and Group President, Completion and Production, received $1.3M in 2009, which decreases by 58% compared to 2008.
