Bed Bath & Beyond reported fiscal year 2008 executive compensation information on June 1, 2009.
In 2008, five executives at Bed Bath & Beyond received on average a compensation package of $4.4M, a 4% increase compared to previous year.
Steven H. Temares, Chief Executive Officer, received $8.6M in total, which increased by 27% compared to 2007. 54% of Temares' compensation, or $4.6M, was in option awards. Temares also received $100K of change in pension value and nonqualified deferred compensation earnings, $1.5M in salary, $2.4M in stock awards, as well as $21K in other compensation.
Leonard Feinstein, Chairman, received a compensation package of $4.2M, which decreased by 16% compared to previous year. 47% of the compensation package, or $2M, was in stock awards.
Warren Eisenberg, Chairman, earned $4.2M in 2008, a 17% decrease compared to previous year.
Arthur Stark, President and Chief Merchandising Officer, received $2.6M in 2008, which increases by 13% compared to 2007.
Eugene A. Castagna, Chief Financial Officer, earned $2.2M in 2008, a 14% increase compared to previous year.
Bed Bath & Beyond's fiscal year ends on February 28.
