Big Lots reported fiscal year 2007 executive compensation information on April 15, 2008.
In 2007, five Big Lots executives received on average a compensation package of $3.3M, a 86% increase compared to previous year.
Steven S. Fishman, Chief Executive Officer, received $9.3M in total, which increased by 134% compared to 2006. 39% of Fishman's compensation, or $3.6M, was in stock awards. Fishman also received $1.8M in non-equity incentive plan, $2.9M in option awards, $1M in salary, as well as $25K in other compensation.
Brad A. Waite, Executive Vice President, Human Resources, received a compensation package of $2.1M, which increased by 27% compared to previous year. 34% of the compensation package, or $709K, was in non-equity incentive plan.
John C. Martin, Executive Vice President, Merchandising, earned $1.7M in 2007, a 38% increase compared to previous year.
Lisa M. Bachmann, Executive Vice President, Supply Chain Management and Chief Information Officer, received $1.6M in 2007, which increases by 65% compared to 2006.
Joe R. Cooper, Chief Financial Officer, earned $1.6M in 2007, a 71% increase compared to previous year.
Big Lots' fiscal year ends on January 31.
