Big Lots reported fiscal year 2009 executive compensation information on April 13, 2010.
In 2009, five Big Lots executives received on average a compensation package of $3.4M, which is about the same as previous year.

Steven S. Fishman, Chief Executive Officer, received $9.8M in total, which decreased by 1% compared to 2008. 36% of Fishman's compensation, or $3.5M, was in stock awards. Joe R. Cooper, Chief Financial Officer, earned $1.7M in 2009, a 1% decrease compared to previous year.
