Big Lots reported fiscal year 2009 executive compensation information on April 13, 2010.
In 2009, five Big Lots executives received on average a compensation package of $3.4M, which is about the same as previous year.
Steven S. Fishman, Chief Executive Officer, received $9.8M in total, which decreased by 1% compared to 2008. 36% of Fishman's compensation, or $3.5M, was in stock awards. Fishman also received $2.4M in non-equity incentive plan, $2.6M in option awards, $1.2M in salary, as well as $109K in other compensation.
Brad A. Waite, Executive Vice President, Human Resources, received a compensation package of $2M, which increased by 2% compared to previous year. 41% of the compensation package, or $825K, was in non-equity incentive plan.
Lisa M. Bachmann, Executive Vice President, Supply Chain Management and Chief Information Officer, earned $1.7M in 2009, a 1% decrease compared to previous year.
John C. Martin, Executive Vice President, Administration, received $1.7M in 2009, which decreases by 1% compared to 2008.
Joe R. Cooper, Chief Financial Officer, earned $1.7M in 2009, a 1% decrease compared to previous year.
Big Lots' fiscal year ends on January 31.
