Big Lots CEO Bruce Thorn's 2021 pay rises 17% to $9M

Big Lots reported fiscal year 2021 executive compensation information on April 13, 2022.
In 2021, five Big Lots executives received on average a compensation package of $3.8M, a 13% increase compared to previous year.
Bruce K. Thorn, Chief Executive Officer, received $9M in total, which increased by 17% compared to 2020. 61% of Thorn's compensation, or $5.5M, was in stock awards. Thorn also received $2M in non-equity incentive plan, $1.2M in salary, as well as $371K in other compensation.
Jonathan E. Ramsden, Executive Vice President, Chief Financial and Administrative Officer, received a compensation package of $3M, which increased by 3% compared to previous year. 52% of the compensation package, or $1.6M, was in stock awards.
Jack A. Pestello, Executive Vice President, Chief Merchandising Officer, earned $2.6M in 2021, a 37% increase compared to previous year.
Michael A. Schlonsky, Chief Human Resources Officer, received $2.2M in 2021, which increases by 1% compared to 2020.
Ronald A. Robins Jr, General Counsel, earned $2.2M in 2021, a 1% increase compared to previous year.
Big Lots' fiscal year ends on January 31.
