Black Hills reported fiscal year 2019 executive compensation information on March 13, 2020.
In 2019, five executives at Black Hills received on average a compensation package of $2.7M, a 32% increase compared to previous year.
David R. Emery, Chairman, received $5.5M in total, which increased by 18% compared to 2018. 76% of Emery's compensation, or $4.1M, was of change in pension value and nonqualified deferred compensation earnings. Emery also received $1.2M in salary and $112K in other compensation.
Linden R. Evans, Chief Executive Officer, received a compensation package of $3.6M, which increased by 66% compared to previous year. 42% of the compensation package, or $1.5M, was in stock awards.
Scott A. Buchholz, Sr. Vice President and Chief Information Officer, earned $1.7M in 2019, a 78% increase compared to previous year.
Richard W. Kinzley, Chief Financial Officer, received $1.6M in 2019, which increases by 13% compared to 2018.
Brian G. Iverson, General Counsel, earned $1.2M in 2019, a 8% increase compared to previous year.
