BlackRock CEO Laurence Fink's 2020 pay rises 13% to $27M

BlackRock reported fiscal year 2020 executive compensation information on April 14, 2022.
In 2020, six BlackRock executives received on average a compensation package of $14M, a 9% increase compared to previous year.
Laurence D. Fink, Chief Executive Officer, received $27M in total, which increased by 13% compared to 2019. 58% of Fink's compensation, or $16M, was in stock awards. Fink also received $9.5M in bonus, $1.5M in salary, as well as $357K in other compensation.
For fiscal year 2020, the median employee pay was $147,417 at BlackRock. Therefore, the ratio of Laurence D. Fink's pay to the median employee pay was 186 to one.
Robert S. Kapito, President, received a compensation package of $22M, which increased by 15% compared to previous year. 56% of the compensation package, or $12M, was in stock awards.
Robert L. Goldstein, Chief Operating Officer, earned $10M in 2020, a 28% increase compared to previous year.
Mark Wiedman, Senior Managing Director and Head of International and of Corporate Strategy, received $8.7M in 2020.
J. Richard Kushel, Senior Managing Director and Head of the Portfolio Management Group, earned $8.4M in 2020, a 27% increase compared to previous year.
Gary S. Shedlin, Chief Financial Officer, received $7.6M in 2020, which increases by 17% compared to 2019.
