Carnival CEO Arnold Donald's 2018 pay rises 4% to $14M

Carnival reported fiscal year 2018 executive compensation information on March 7, 2019.
In 2018, five Carnival executives received on average a compensation package of $6.3M, a 4% increase compared to previous year.
Arnold W. Donald, Chief Executive Officer, received $14M in total, which increased by 4% compared to 2017. 52% of Donald's compensation, or $7M, was in stock awards. Donald also received $4.7M in non-equity incentive plan, $1.5M in salary, as well as $290K in other compensation.
For fiscal year 2018, the median employee pay was $16,622 at Carnival. Therefore, the ratio of Arnold W. Donald's pay to the median employee pay was 813 to one.
Stein Kruse, Chief Executive Officer, received a compensation package of $5.5M, which decreased by 5% compared to previous year. 49% of the compensation package, or $2.7M, was in stock awards.
Michael Thamm, Chief Executive Officer, earned $5.3M in 2018, a 23% increase compared to previous year.
David Bernstein, Chief Financial Officer, received $4.6M in 2018, which increases by 1% compared to 2017.
Arnaldo Perez, General Counsel, earned $2.4M in 2018, a 2% increase compared to previous year.
Carnival's fiscal year ends on November 30.
