Cerence reported fiscal year 2020 executive compensation information on December 30, 2020.
In 2020, three Cerence executives received on average a compensation package of $7.8M, a 404% increase compared to previous year.
Sanjay Dhawan, Chief Executive Officer, received $13M in total, which increased by 12,173% compared to 2019. 89% of Dhawan's compensation, or $11M, was in stock awards. Dhawan also received $60K in bonus, $856K in non-equity incentive plan, $543K in salary, as well as $17K in other compensation.
Stefan Ortmanns, Executive Vice President and General Manager Automotive Division, received a compensation package of $7M, which increased by 60% compared to previous year. 79% of the compensation package, or $5.5M, was in stock awards.
Mark Gallenberger, Chief Financial Officer, earned $3.5M in 2020, a 1966% increase compared to previous year.
Cerence's fiscal year ends on September 30.
