Charter Communications reported fiscal year 2021 executive compensation information on March 17, 2022.
In 2021, six executives at Charter Communications received on average a compensation package of $14M, a 25% decrease compared to previous year.
Thomas M. Rutledge, Chief Executive Officer, received $42M in total, which increased by 8% compared to 2020. 72% of Rutledge's compensation, or $30M, was in option awards. Rutledge also received $59K of change in pension value and nonqualified deferred compensation earnings, $8.9M in non-equity incentive plan, $2.5M in salary, as well as $396K in other compensation.
Christopher L. Winfrey, Chief Operating Officer, received a compensation package of $12M, which is about the same as previous year. 60% of the compensation package, or $7M, was in option awards.
David Ellen, Senior Executive Vice President, earned $9.4M in 2021, a 13% decrease compared to previous year.
Richard J. DiGeronimo, Chief Product Technology Officer, received $8.9M in 2021, which increases by 34% compared to 2020.
John Bickham, Chairman, earned $7.5M in 2021, a 80% decrease compared to previous year.
Jessica M. Fischer, Chief Financial Officer, received $3.6M in 2021.
