Ciena reported fiscal year 2021 executive compensation information on February 15, 2022.
In 2021, five Ciena executives received on average a compensation package of $4.8M, a 4% increase compared to previous year.
Gary B. Smith, Chief Executive Officer, received $11M in total, which increased by 2% compared to 2020. 75% of Smith's compensation, or $8.6M, was in stock awards. Smith also received $1.9M in non-equity incentive plan, $1M in salary, as well as $12K in other compensation.
