Copart reported fiscal year 2009 executive compensation information on October 15, 2009.
In 2009, five Copart executives received on average a compensation package of $12M, a 314% increase compared to previous year.
A. Jayson Adair, Chief Executive Officer, received $28M in total, which increased by 522% compared to 2008. 98% of Adair's compensation, or $28M, was in option awards. Adair also received $554K in salary and $68K in other compensation.
Willis J. Johnson, Chief Executive Officer, received a compensation package of $27M, which increased by 460% compared to previous year. 97% of the compensation package, or $26M, was in option awards.
Vincent W. Mitz, President, earned $1.5M in 2009, a 34% decrease compared to previous year.
David L. Bauer, Senior Vice President, Corporate Development, received $1.2M in 2009, which decreases by 4% compared to 2008.
William E. Franklin, Chief Financial Officer, earned $479K in 2009, a 62% decrease compared to previous year.
Copart's fiscal year ends on July 31.
