Corning reported fiscal year 2018 executive compensation information on March 22, 2019.
In 2018, five Corning executives received on average a compensation package of $6.6M, a 8% decrease compared to previous year.
Wendell P. Weeks, Chief Executive Officer, received $15M in total, which decreased by 12% compared to 2017. 64% of Weeks' compensation, or $9.5M, was in non-equity incentive plan. Weeks also received $215K of change in pension value and nonqualified deferred compensation earnings, $1.1M in option awards, $1.4M in salary, $2.3M in stock awards, as well as $478K in other compensation.
For fiscal year 2018, the median employee pay was $52,095 at Corning. Therefore, the ratio of Wendell P. Weeks' pay to the median employee pay was 286 to one.
David L. Morse, Chief Technology Officer, received a compensation package of $4.5M, which decreased by 10% compared to previous year. 54% of the compensation package, or $2.4M, was in non-equity incentive plan.
Lawrence D. McRae, Chairman, earned $4.5M in 2018, a 13% decrease compared to previous year.
James P. Clappin, Executive Vice President, Corning Glass Technologies, received $4.5M in 2018, which decreases by 5% compared to 2017.
R. Tony Tripeny, Chief Financial Officer, earned $4.5M in 2018, a 10% increase compared to previous year.
