Costco CEO W Jelinek's 2018 pay rises 12% to $7.4M

Costco reported fiscal year 2018 executive compensation information on December 10, 2020.
In 2018, six Costco executives received on average a compensation package of $4.6M, which is about the same as previous year.
W. Craig Jelinek, Chief Executive Officer, received $7.4M in total, which increased by 12% compared to 2017. 85% of Jelinek's compensation, or $6.3M, was in stock awards. Jelinek also received $97K in bonus, $108K of change in pension value and nonqualified deferred compensation earnings, $800K in salary, as well as $108K in other compensation.
Richard A. Galanti, Chief Financial Officer, received a compensation package of $4.3M, which increased by 7% compared to previous year. 73% of the compensation package, or $3.2M, was in stock awards.
Joseph P. Portera, Chief Operating Officer, earned $4.1M in 2018, a 7% increase compared to previous year.
Paul G. Moulton, Executive Vice President, Chief Information Officer, received $4M in 2018, which increases by 7% compared to 2017.
James P. Murphy, Chief Operating Officer, earned $4M in 2018, a 7% increase compared to previous year.
Ron M. Vachris, Chief Operating Officer, received $3.9M in 2018.
Costco's fiscal year ends on September 1.
