CSX reported fiscal year 2018 executive compensation information on March 22, 2019.
In 2018, five CSX executives received on average a compensation package of $6.7M, a 71% decrease compared to previous year.
James M. Foote, Chief Executive Officer, received $14M in total, which increased by 420% compared to 2017. 39% of Foote's compensation, or $5.3M, was in stock awards. Foote also received $441K of change in pension value and nonqualified deferred compensation earnings, $3.1M in non-equity incentive plan, $3.5M in option awards, $1.2M in salary, as well as $222K in other compensation.
For fiscal year 2018, the median employee pay was $105,169 at CSX. Therefore, the ratio of James M. Foote's pay to the median employee pay was 131 to one.
Edmond L. Harris, Executive Vice President Operations – CSXTransportation, Inc, received a compensation package of $6.5M. 43% of the compensation package, or $2.8M, was in stock awards.
Mark K. Wallace, Executive Vice President Sales and Marketing, earned $5.9M in 2018, a 14% increase compared to previous year.
Frank A. Lonegro, Chief Financial Officer, received $3.7M in 2018, which decreases by 22% compared to 2017.
Nathan D. Goldman, Chief Legal Officer, earned $3.6M in 2018.
