Devon Energy reported fiscal year 2010 executive compensation information on April 26, 2011.
In 2010, seven executives at Devon Energy received on average a compensation package of $8M, a 7% increase compared to previous year.
J. Larry Nichols, Chairman, received $19M in total, which increased by 17% compared to 2009. 29% of Nichols' compensation, or $5.5M, was in option awards. Nichols also received $3M in bonus, $3.2M of change in pension value and nonqualified deferred compensation earnings, $1.4M in salary, $5.5M in stock awards, as well as $319K in other compensation.
John Richels, Chief Executive Officer, received a compensation package of $18M, which increased by 69% compared to previous year. 28% of the compensation package, or $5M, was in stock awards.
Darryl G. Smette, Executive Vice President, earned $5.5M in 2010, a 31% increase compared to previous year.
David A. Hager, Executive Vice President, received $4.7M in 2010, which decreases by 14% compared to 2009.
Jeffrey A. Agosta, Chief Financial Officer, earned $3.6M in 2010.
Lyndon C. Taylor, Executive Vice President, received $3.5M in 2010.
Danny J. Heatly, Chief Accounting Officer, earned $1.6M in 2010, a 33% decrease compared to previous year.
