Diebold reported fiscal year 2021 executive compensation information on March 24, 2022.
In 2021, five Diebold executives received on average a compensation package of $8.1M, a 259% increase compared to previous year.
Gerrard B. Schmid, Chief Executive Officer, received $26M in total, which increased by 393% compared to 2020. 84% of Schmid's compensation, or $22M, was in stock awards. Schmid also received $3.1M in non-equity incentive plan, $950K in salary, as well as $52K in other compensation.

Ulrich Näher, Executive Vice President, Chief Commercial Officer, received $2.6M in 2021, which increases by 61% compared to 2020.
Jonathan B. Leiken, Chief Legal Officer, earned $2.1M in 2021, a 57% increase compared to previous year.
