Dollar General CEO Todd Vasos' 2020 pay jumps 37% to $16M

Dollar General reported fiscal year 2020 executive compensation information on April 1, 2021.
In 2020, six executives at Dollar General received on average a compensation package of $6.1M, a 27% increase compared to previous year.
Todd J. Vasos, Chief Executive Officer, received $16M in total, which increased by 37% compared to 2019. 37% of Vasos' compensation, or $6.1M, was in non-equity incentive plan. Vasos also received $4.5M in option awards, $1.3M in salary, $4.4M in stock awards, as well as $88K in other compensation.
Jeffery C. Owen, Chief Operating Officer, received a compensation package of $5.6M, which increased by 59% compared to previous year. 45% of the compensation package, or $2.5M, was in non-equity incentive plan.
John W. Garratt, Chief Financial Officer, earned $4.2M in 2020, a 42% increase compared to previous year.
Rhonda M. Taylor, General Counsel, received $3.6M in 2020, which increases by 33% compared to 2019.
Jason S. Reiser, Former Executive Vice President Chief Merchandising Officer, earned $3.4M in 2020, a 22% increase compared to previous year.
Carman R. Wenkoff, Executive Vice President Chief Information Officer, received $3.2M in 2020.
Dollar General's fiscal year ends on January 28.
