Dollar General CEO Todd Vasos' 2021 pay rises 1% to $17M

Dollar General reported fiscal year 2021 executive compensation information on April 1, 2022.
In 2021, five executives at Dollar General received on average a compensation package of $6.4M, a 6% increase compared to previous year.
Todd J. Vasos, Chief Executive Officer, received $17M in total, which increased by 1% compared to 2020. 32% of Vasos' compensation, or $5.2M, was in option awards. Vasos also received $4.5M in non-equity incentive plan, $1.4M in salary, $5.2M in stock awards, as well as $306K in other compensation.
Jeffery C. Owen, Chief Operating Officer, received a compensation package of $5M, which decreased by 10% compared to previous year. 38% of the compensation package, or $1.9M, was in non-equity incentive plan.
John W. Garratt, Chief Financial Officer, earned $3.9M in 2021, a 7% decrease compared to previous year.
Rhonda M. Taylor, General Counsel, received $3.4M in 2021, which decreases by 4% compared to 2020.
Carman R. Wenkoff, Executive Vice President Chief Information Officer, earned $3.3M in 2021, a 1% increase compared to previous year.
Dollar General's fiscal year ends on January 28.
