Duke Energy reported fiscal year 2019 executive compensation information on March 26, 2020.
In 2019, seven executives at Duke Energy received on average a compensation package of $6.1M, a 14% increase compared to previous year.
Lynn J. Good, Chief Executive Officer, received $15M in total, which increased by 7% compared to 2018. 67% of Good's compensation, or $10M, was in stock awards. Good also received $356K of change in pension value and nonqualified deferred compensation earnings, $2.8M in non-equity incentive plan, $1.4M in salary, as well as $374K in other compensation.
Lloyd M. Yates, Former Executive Vice President, Customer and Delivery Operations and President, Carolinas Region, received a compensation package of $7.5M, which increased by 155% compared to previous year. 37% of the compensation package, or $2.8M, was in other compensation.
Dhiaa M. Jamil, Chief Operating Officer, earned $4.7M in 2019, a 17% increase compared to previous year.
Frank H. Yoho, Former Executive Vice President and President, Natural Gas, received $4.2M in 2019.
Julia S. Janson, Executive Vice President, External Affairs and President, Carolinas Region, earned $4M in 2019, a 47% increase compared to previous year.
Steven K. Young, Chief Financial Officer, received $3.8M in 2019, which increases by 21% compared to 2018.
Douglas F Esamann, Executive Vice President, Energy Solutions and President, Midwest/Florida Regions and Natural Gas Business, earned $3.6M in 2019.
