EchoStar reported fiscal year 2008 executive compensation information on March 31, 2009.
In 2008, five EchoStar executives received on average a compensation package of $1.6M, a 119% increase compared to previous year.
Charles W. Ergen, Chairman, received $4.2M in total, which increased by 263% compared to 2007. 94% of Ergen's compensation, or $3.9M, was in option awards. Ergen also received $1 in salary and $238K in other compensation.
Mark W. Jackson, President, EchoStar Technologies L.L.C, received a compensation package of $1.9M, which increased by 459% compared to previous year. 81% of the compensation package, or $1.6M, was in option awards.
Steven B. Schaver, President, EchoStar International Corporation, earned $1.1M in 2008, a 9% increase compared to previous year.
Dean A. Olmstead, President, EchoStar Satellite Services Corporation, received $705K in 2008.
Bernard L. Han, Chief Operating Officer, earned $103K in 2008, a 75% decrease compared to previous year.
