HEALTHSOUTH reported fiscal year 2008 executive compensation information on April 2, 2009.
In 2008, five executives at HEALTHSOUTH received on average a compensation package of $2.4M, a 16% decrease compared to previous year.
Jay Grinney, Chief Executive Officer, received $6M in total, which decreased by 12% compared to 2007. 40% of Grinney's compensation, or $2.4M, was in stock awards. Grinney also received $1.4M in non-equity incentive plan, $1.2M in option awards, $1M in salary, as well as $28K in other compensation.
John L. Workman, Chief Financial Officer, received a compensation package of $2.2M, which increased by 3% compared to previous year. 27% of the compensation package, or $608K, was in salary.
John P. Whittington, General Counsel, earned $1.6M in 2008, a 6% increase compared to previous year.
Mark J. Tarr, Executive Vice President, Operations, received $1.5M in 2008, which increases by 43% compared to 2007.
Dexanne B. Clohan, Chief Medical Officer, earned $774K in 2008.
