HEALTHSOUTH reported fiscal year 2011 executive compensation information on April 2, 2012.
In 2011, five executives at HEALTHSOUTH received on average a compensation package of $2.9M, a 23% increase compared to previous year.
Jay Grinney, Chief Executive Officer, received $7.7M in total, which increased by 16% compared to 2010. 45% of Grinney's compensation, or $3.5M, was in stock awards. Grinney also received $1.6M in non-equity incentive plan, $1.5M in option awards, $1M in salary, as well as $148K in other compensation.
John P. Whittington, General Counsel, received a compensation package of $2M, which increased by 14% compared to previous year. 32% of the compensation package, or $640K, was in stock awards.
Mark J. Tarr, Chief Operating Officer, earned $2M in 2011, a 9% increase compared to previous year.
Douglas E. Coltharp, Chief Financial Officer, received $1.9M in 2011, which increases by 156% compared to 2010.
Dexanne B. Clohan, Chief Medical Officer, earned $927K in 2011, a 11% increase compared to previous year.
