Everest Re Group reported fiscal year 2007 executive compensation information on April 8, 2008.
In 2007, five executives at Everest Re Group received on average a compensation package of $3.3M, a 27% increase compared to previous year.
Joseph V. Taranto, Chief Executive Officer, received $10M in total, which increased by 16% compared to 2006. 53% of Taranto's compensation, or $5.4M, was in stock awards. Taranto also received $749K of change in pension value and nonqualified deferred compensation earnings, $2.3M in non-equity incentive plan, $583K in option awards, $1M in salary, as well as $224K in other compensation.
Thomas J. Gallagher, Chief Operating Officer, received a compensation package of $2.7M, which increased by 30% compared to previous year. 30% of the compensation package, or $811K, was of change in pension value and nonqualified deferred compensation earnings.
Mark S. de Saram, Chief Executive Officer, earned $1.5M in 2007, a 27% increase compared to previous year.
Craig Eisenacher, Chief Financial Officer, received $1.3M in 2007, which increases by 348% compared to 2006.
Keith T. Shoemaker, Comptroller and Principal Accounting Officer, earned $509K in 2007, a 14% increase compared to previous year.
