Expedia reported fiscal year 2018 executive compensation information on May 6, 2020.
In 2018, six Expedia executives received on average a compensation package of $6.2M, a 22% decrease compared to previous year.
Mark D. Okerstrom, Chief Executive Officer, received $13M in total, which decreased by 57% compared to 2017. 69% of Okerstrom's compensation, or $9.1M, was in option awards. Okerstrom also received $3M in bonus, $1M in salary, as well as $11K in other compensation.
For fiscal year 2018, the median employee pay was $67,457 at Expedia. Therefore, the ratio of Mark D. Okerstrom's pay to the median employee pay was 194 to one.
Robert J. Dzielak, Chief Legal Officer, received a compensation package of $7.2M, which increased by 124% compared to previous year. 60% of the compensation package, or $4.3M, was in option awards.
Peter M. Kern, Chairman, earned $6.9M in 2018.
Alan R. Pickerill, Chief Financial Officer, received $5.3M in 2018, which increases by 98% compared to 2017.
