Express CEO David Kornberg's 2018 pay jumps 39% to $9M

Express reported fiscal year 2018 executive compensation information on May 2, 2019.
In 2018, six Express executives received on average a compensation package of $2.7M, a 13% increase compared to previous year.
David Kornberg, Chief Executive Officer, received $9M in total, which increased by 39% compared to 2017. 42% of Kornberg's compensation, or $3.8M, was in stock awards. Kornberg also received $4.8K of change in pension value and nonqualified deferred compensation earnings, $536K in non-equity incentive plan, $1M in salary, as well as $3.7M in other compensation.
Matthew Moellering, Chief Executive Officer, received a compensation package of $2.2M, which decreased by 8% compared to previous year. 45% of the compensation package, or $975K, was in stock awards.
James Hilt, Former Executive Vice President, Chief Customer Experience Officer, earned $1.5M in 2018, a 6% decrease compared to previous year.
John J. Rafferty, Executive Vice President, Planning and Allocation, received $1.3M in 2018, which decreases by 11% compared to 2017.
Colin Campbell, Executive Vice President, Sourcing and Production, earned $1.3M in 2018, a 10% decrease compared to previous year.
Periclis Pericleous, Chief Financial Officer, received $1.1M in 2018, which decreases by 4% compared to 2017.
Express' fiscal year ends on January 28.
