Fortinet reported fiscal year 2018 executive compensation information on April 30, 2019.
In 2018, five Fortinet executives received on average a compensation package of $3M, a 4% increase compared to previous year.
Ken Xie, Chief Executive Officer, received $6.8M in total, which increased by 71% compared to 2017. 44% of Xie's compensation, or $3M, was in option awards. Xie also received $680K in non-equity incentive plan, $625K in salary, as well as $2.5M in stock awards.
For fiscal year 2018, the median employee pay was $131,767 at Fortinet. Therefore, the ratio of Ken Xie's pay to the median employee pay was 51 to one.
Michael Xie, Chief Technology Officer, received a compensation package of $3.5M, which increased by 24% compared to previous year. 41% of the compensation package, or $1.4M, was in option awards.
John Whittle, General Counsel, earned $2.4M in 2018, a 16% increase compared to previous year.
Keith Jensen, Chief Financial Officer, received $2.3M in 2018.
Andrew Del Matto, Chief Financial Officer, earned $58K in 2018, a 98% decrease compared to previous year.
