Fortinet reported fiscal year 2019 executive compensation information on April 28, 2020.
In 2019, four Fortinet executives received on average a compensation package of $5M, a 66% increase compared to previous year.
Ken Xie, Chief Executive Officer, received $9.6M in total, which increased by 42% compared to 2018. 43% of Xie's compensation, or $4.1M, was in stock awards. Xie also received $755K in non-equity incentive plan, $4M in option awards, as well as $750K in salary.
For fiscal year 2019, the median employee pay was $122,329 at Fortinet. Therefore, the ratio of Ken Xie's pay to the median employee pay was 79 to one.
Michael Xie, Chief Technology Officer, received a compensation package of $4.3M, which increased by 24% compared to previous year. 43% of the compensation package, or $1.8M, was in stock awards.
Keith Jensen, Chief Financial Officer, earned $3.4M in 2019, a 50% increase compared to previous year.
John Whittle, General Counsel, received $2.5M in 2019, which increases by 5% compared to 2018.
