Fortinet reported fiscal year 2020 executive compensation information on April 28, 2021.
In 2020, four Fortinet executives received on average a compensation package of $5.3M, a 7% increase compared to previous year.
Ken Xie, Chief Executive Officer, received $11M in total, which increased by 11% compared to 2019. 44% of Xie's compensation, or $4.7M, was in stock awards. Xie also received $983K in non-equity incentive plan, $4.2M in option awards, as well as $797K in salary.
For fiscal year 2020, the median employee pay was $149,450 at Fortinet. Therefore, the ratio of Ken Xie's pay to the median employee pay was 71 to one.
Michael Xie, Chief Technology Officer, received a compensation package of $4.3M, which is about the same as previous year. 43% of the compensation package, or $1.9M, was in stock awards.
Keith Jensen, Chief Financial Officer, earned $3.8M in 2020, a 13% increase compared to previous year.
John Whittle, General Counsel, received $2.4M in 2020, which decreases by 5% compared to 2019.
