Fortinet reported fiscal year 2021 executive compensation information on May 2, 2022.
In 2021, four Fortinet executives received on average a compensation package of $7.2M, a 36% increase compared to previous year.
Ken Xie, Chief Executive Officer, received $14M in total, which increased by 33% compared to 2020. 44% of Xie's compensation, or $6.2M, was in stock awards. Xie also received $1M in non-equity incentive plan, $6.1M in option awards, as well as $797K in salary.
For fiscal year 2021, the median employee pay was $202,875 at Fortinet. Therefore, the ratio of Ken Xie's pay to the median employee pay was 70 to one.
Michael Xie, Chief Technology Officer, received a compensation package of $5.8M, which increased by 34% compared to previous year. 43% of the compensation package, or $2.5M, was in stock awards.
Keith Jensen, Chief Financial Officer, earned $5.3M in 2021, a 38% increase compared to previous year.
John Whittle, Chief Legal Officer, received $3.5M in 2021, which increases by 49% compared to 2020.
