Freeport-McMoRan reported fiscal year 2006 executive compensation information on June 5, 2007.
In 2006, six executives at Freeport-McMoRan received on average a compensation package of $16M, a 17% increase compared to previous year.
James R. Moffett, Chairman, received $39M in total, which increased by 12% compared to 2005. 71% of Moffett's compensation, or $28M, was in non-equity incentive plan. Moffett also received $1.1M of change in pension value and nonqualified deferred compensation earnings, $5.5M in option awards, $2.5M in salary, as well as $2.3M in other compensation.
Richard C. Adkerson, Chief Executive Officer, received a compensation package of $32M, which increased by 14% compared to previous year. 68% of the compensation package, or $22M, was in stock awards.
Adrianto Machribie, Former President Director PT Freeport Indonesia, earned $9M in 2006, a 69% increase compared to previous year.
Michael J. Arnold, Chief Administrative Officer, received $5.7M in 2006, which increases by 13% compared to 2005.
Kathleen L. Quirk, Chief Financial Officer, earned $4.8M in 2006, a 25% increase compared to previous year.
Mark J. Johnson, Chief Operating Officer, received $4.2M in 2006, which increases by 10% compared to 2005.
