Freeport-McMoRan reported fiscal year 2008 executive compensation information on April 28, 2011.
In 2008, four executives at Freeport-McMoRan received on average a compensation package of $29M, a 18% decrease compared to previous year.
Richard C. Adkerson, Chief Executive Officer, received $77M in total, which increased by 14% compared to 2007. 86% of Adkerson's compensation, or $67M, was in stock awards. Adkerson also received $5M of change in pension value and nonqualified deferred compensation earnings, $2.5M in salary, as well as $3.2M in other compensation.
James R. Moffett, Chairman, received a compensation package of $22M, which decreased by 68% compared to previous year. 66% of the compensation package, or $15M, was in stock awards.
Kathleen L. Quirk, Chief Financial Officer, earned $12M in 2008, a 27% decrease compared to previous year.
Michael J. Arnold, Chief Administrative Officer, received $4.5M in 2008, which decreases by 65% compared to 2007.
