H&R Block reported fiscal year 2019 executive compensation information on July 31, 2019.
In 2019, five H&R Block executives received on average a compensation package of $3M, a 14% decrease compared to previous year.
Jeffrey J. Jones II, Chief Executive Officer, received $8.5M in total, which decreased by 29% compared to 2018. 65% of Jones' compensation, or $5.5M, was in stock awards. Jones also received $1.3M in non-equity incentive plan, $998K in salary, as well as $689K in other compensation.
For fiscal year 2019, the median employee pay was $16,182 at H&R Block. Therefore, the ratio of Jeffrey J. Jones II's pay to the median employee pay was 526 to one.
Thomas A. Gerke, Chief Administrative Officer, received a compensation package of $2.2M, which decreased by 48% compared to previous year. 49% of the compensation package, or $1.1M, was in stock awards.
Tony G. Bowen, Chief Financial Officer, earned $2M in 2019, a 6% increase compared to previous year.
Karen A. Orosco, Senior Vice President, U.S. Retail, received $1.8M in 2019.
Kellie J. Logerwell, Chief Accounting Officer, earned $644K in 2019, a 4% increase compared to previous year.
