Harsco Chairman Geoffrey Butler's 2009 pay jumps 70% to $2.5M

Harsco reported fiscal year 2009 executive compensation information on March 24, 2010.
In 2009, six Harsco executives received on average a compensation package of $1.3M, a 5% decrease compared to previous year.
Geoffrey D. H. Butler, Chairman, received $2.5M in total, which increased by 70% compared to 2008. 64% of Butler's compensation, or $1.6M, was of change in pension value and nonqualified deferred compensation earnings. Butler also received $647K in salary, $201K in stock awards, as well as $59K in other compensation.
Salvatore D. Fazzolari, Chief Executive Officer, received a compensation package of $1.6M, which decreased by 34% compared to previous year. 55% of the compensation package, or $890K, was in salary.
Galdino J. Claro, Chief Executive Officer, earned $1.3M in 2009.
Richard C. Neuffer, Chairman, received $1.2M in 2009, which decreases by 16% compared to 2008.
Mark E. Kimmel, Chief Administrative Officer, earned $663K in 2009, a 26% decrease compared to previous year.
Stephen J. Schnoor, Chief Financial Officer, received $594K in 2009, which decreases by 15% compared to 2008.
