Markit CEO Lance Uggla's 2019 pay rises 17% to $13M

Markit reported fiscal year 2019 executive compensation information on February 28, 2020.
In 2019, five Markit executives received on average a compensation package of $5.1M, a 16% increase compared to previous year.
Lance Uggla, Chief Executive Officer, received $13M in total, which increased by 17% compared to 2018. 77% of Uggla's compensation, or $10M, was in stock awards. Uggla also received $1.7M in non-equity incentive plan, $1.2M in salary, as well as $65K in other compensation.
For fiscal year 2019, the median employee pay was $90,999 at Markit. Therefore, the ratio of Lance Uggla's pay to the median employee pay was 144 to one.
Todd Hyatt, Chief Financial Officer, received a compensation package of $4.3M, which increased by 8% compared to previous year. 62% of the compensation package, or $2.6M, was in stock awards.
Jonathan Gear, Exec. Vice Pres., President of Resources, Transportation & CMS, earned $2.9M in 2019, a 1% increase compared to previous year.
Adam Kansler, Exec. Vice Pres., President of Financial Services, received $2.8M in 2019, which increases by 5% compared to 2018.
Sari Granat, Exec. Vice Pres., Chief Admin. Officer and Gen. Counsel, earned $2.4M in 2019, a 29% increase compared to previous year.
Markit's fiscal year ends on November 30.
