Markit CEO Lance Uggla's 2020 pay rises 15% to $15M

Markit reported fiscal year 2020 executive compensation information on March 25, 2021.
In 2020, six Markit executives received on average a compensation package of $4.8M, a 6% decrease compared to previous year.
Lance Uggla, Chief Executive Officer, received $15M in total, which increased by 15% compared to 2019. 80% of Uggla's compensation, or $12M, was in stock awards. Uggla also received $2.1M in non-equity incentive plan, $925K in salary, as well as $25K in other compensation.
For fiscal year 2020, the median employee pay was $91,338 at Markit. Therefore, the ratio of Lance Uggla's pay to the median employee pay was 165 to one.
Adam Kansler, Exec. Vice Pres., President of Financial Services, received a compensation package of $3.4M, which increased by 24% compared to previous year. 68% of the compensation package, or $2.3M, was in stock awards.
Jonathan Gear, Chief Financial Officer, earned $3.3M in 2020, a 13% increase compared to previous year.
Sari Granat, Exec. Vice Pres., Chief Admin Officer and Gen. Counsel, received $2.8M in 2020, which increases by 14% compared to 2019.
Todd Hyatt, Chief Executive Officer, earned $2.6M in 2020, a 39% decrease compared to previous year.
Brian Crotty, Exec. Vice Pres., Global Energy and Natural Resources, received $1.7M in 2020.
Markit's fiscal year ends on November 30.
