IMAX CEO Richard Gelfond's 2019 pay rises 13% to $7.1M

IMAX reported fiscal year 2019 executive compensation information on April 29, 2020.
In 2019, five IMAX executives received on average a compensation package of $3.8M, a 4% decrease compared to previous year.
Richard L. Gelfond, Chief Executive Officer, received $7.1M in total, which increased by 13% compared to 2018. 46% of Gelfond's compensation, or $3.3M, was in option awards. Gelfond also received $1.1M in bonus, $1.4M of change in pension value and nonqualified deferred compensation earnings, $1.2M in salary, as well as $134K in other compensation.
For fiscal year 2019, the median employee pay was $94,570 at IMAX. Therefore, the ratio of Richard L. Gelfond's pay to the median employee pay was 75 to one.
Megan Colligan, President, IMAX Entertainment and Executive Vice President, IMAX Corporation, received a compensation package of $4.2M. 39% of the compensation package, or $1.6M, was in stock awards.
Patrick McClymont, Chief Financial Officer, earned $2.7M in 2019, a 4% increase compared to previous year.
Robert D. Lister, Chief Legal Officer, received $2.6M in 2019, which increases by 1% compared to 2018.
Mark Welton, President, IMAX Theatres, earned $2.4M in 2019.
