Itron reported fiscal year 2018 executive compensation information on March 22, 2019.
In 2018, five Itron executives received on average a compensation package of $2.6M, a 15% increase compared to previous year.
Philip Mezey, Chief Executive Officer, received $5M in total, which decreased by 16% compared to 2017. 64% of Mezey's compensation, or $3.2M, was in stock awards. Mezey also received $899K in option awards, $821K in salary, as well as $75K in other compensation.
For fiscal year 2018, the median employee pay was $55,023 at Itron. Therefore, the ratio of Philip Mezey's pay to the median employee pay was 90 to one.
Thomas Deitrich, Chief Operating Officer, received a compensation package of $2.9M, which decreased by 2% compared to previous year. 64% of the compensation package, or $1.9M, was in stock awards.
Sarah Hlavinka, General Counsel, earned $2.2M in 2018.
Joan Hooper, Chief Financial Officer, received $1.7M in 2018, which increases by 40% compared to 2017.
Michel Cadieux, Senior Vice President, Human Resources, earned $1.4M in 2018, a 20% decrease compared to previous year.
