Liberty Media reported fiscal year 2020 executive compensation information on April 14, 2021.
In 2020, five executives at Liberty Media received on average a compensation package of $12M, a 45% increase compared to previous year.
Gregory B. Maffei, Chief Executive Officer, received $47M in total, which increased by 7% compared to 2019. 53% of Maffei's compensation, or $25M, was in option awards. Maffei also received $537K of change in pension value and nonqualified deferred compensation earnings, $12M in non-equity incentive plan, $872K in salary, $8.3M in stock awards, as well as $646K in other compensation.
For fiscal year 2020, the median employee pay was $100,400 at Liberty Media. Therefore, the ratio of Gregory B. Maffei's pay to the median employee pay was 469 to one.
Albert E. Rosenthaler, Chief Corporate Development Officer, received a compensation package of $4.5M, which increased by 67% compared to previous year. 39% of the compensation package, or $1.7M, was in option awards.
