CenturyLink CEO Glen Post's 2008 pay jumps 33% to $12M

CenturyLink reported fiscal year 2008 executive compensation information on April 3, 2009.
In 2008, six executives at CenturyLink received on average a compensation package of $5.1M, a 54% increase compared to previous year.
Glen F. Post, III, Chief Executive Officer, received $12M in total, which increased by 33% compared to 2007. 57% of Post's compensation, or $6.8M, was of change in pension value and nonqualified deferred compensation earnings. Post also received $865K in non-equity incentive plan, $1M in salary, $2.2M in stock awards, as well as $1.1M in other compensation.
Karen A. Puckett, Chief Operating Officer, received a compensation package of $4.9M, which increased by 68% compared to previous year. 36% of the compensation package, or $1.8M, was of change in pension value and nonqualified deferred compensation earnings.
R. Stewart Ewing, Jr, Chief Financial Officer, earned $4.9M in 2008, a 67% increase compared to previous year.
David D. Cole, Senior Vice President Operations Support, received $3.4M in 2008, which increases by 108% compared to 2007.
Michael E. Maslowski, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, earned $2.7M in 2008, a 55% increase compared to previous year.
Stacey W. Goff, General Counsel, received $2.6M in 2008, which increases by 63% compared to 2007.
