Marathon Petroleum reported fiscal year 2020 executive compensation information on March 15, 2021.
In 2020, six executives at Marathon Petroleum received on average a compensation package of $8M, a 42% decrease compared to previous year.
Michael J. Hennigan, Chief Executive Officer, received $16M in total, which increased by 103% compared to 2019. 58% of Hennigan's compensation, or $9M, was in stock awards. Hennigan also received $440K of change in pension value and nonqualified deferred compensation earnings, $3.1M in non-equity incentive plan, $1.1M in option awards, $1.5M in salary, as well as $437K in other compensation.
Gary R. Heminger, Chief Executive Officer, received a compensation package of $10M, which decreased by 59% compared to previous year. 60% of the compensation package, or $6M, was in stock awards.
Donald C. Templin, Chief Financial Officer, earned $7.3M in 2020, a 10% decrease compared to previous year.
Timothy T. Griffith, President, Speedway LLC, received $5.8M in 2020, which decreases by 11% compared to 2019.
Raymond L. Brooks, Executive Vice President, Refining, earned $5.5M in 2020.
Suzanne Gagle, General Counsel, received $3.8M in 2020.
