Mastercard reported fiscal year 2019 executive compensation information on April 29, 2020.
In 2019, six Mastercard executives received on average a compensation package of $8.4M, a 11% increase compared to previous year.
Ajay Banga, Chief Executive Officer, received $23M in total, which increased by 14% compared to 2018. 37% of Banga's compensation, or $8.7M, was in stock awards. Banga also received $5.7M in non-equity incentive plan, $7.5M in option awards, $1.3M in salary, as well as $236K in other compensation.
For fiscal year 2019, the median employee pay was $138,142 at Mastercard. Therefore, the ratio of Ajay Banga's pay to the median employee pay was 168 to one.
Martina Hund-Mejean, Chief Financial Officer, received a compensation package of $6.7M, which decreased by 11% compared to previous year. 42% of the compensation package, or $2.8M, was in stock awards.
Michael Froman, Chairman, earned $5.6M in 2019.
Michael Miebach, Chief Executive Officer, received $5.6M in 2019.
Craig Vosburg, President, North America, earned $5.2M in 2019, a 9% increase compared to previous year.
Sachin Mehra, Chief Financial Officer, received $4M in 2019.
