Matthews International reported fiscal year 2019 executive compensation information on January 21, 2020.
In 2019, five executives at Matthews International received on average a compensation package of $2.8M, a 27% increase compared to previous year.
Joseph C. Bartolacci, Chief Executive Officer, received $6.9M in total, which increased by 5% compared to 2018. 43% of Bartolacci's compensation, or $3M, was of change in pension value and nonqualified deferred compensation earnings. Bartolacci also received $892K in salary, $2.9M in stock awards, as well as $145K in other compensation.
Steven F. Nicola, Chief Financial Officer, received a compensation package of $3M, which increased by 22% compared to previous year. 55% of the compensation package, or $1.7M, was of change in pension value and nonqualified deferred compensation earnings.
Brian J. Dunn, Executive Vice President, Strategy and Corporate Development, earned $1.7M in 2019, a 29% increase compared to previous year.
Steven D. Gackenbach, Group President, received $1.2M in 2019, which decreases by 2% compared to 2018.
Brian D. Walters, General Counsel, earned $1.2M in 2019, a 4% increase compared to previous year.
Matthews International's fiscal year ends on September 30.
